Express Call for Feedback

posted by gael    Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008 at 9:44 am

If you already use PostSharp Laos in any project, internal or external,
I would like to hear from you and there is a chance for your
company to get some (limited) visibility!

I am writing an article for the AOSD 2008
conference and I would like to augment my paper with case study (in
technical, not commercial wordings). The case study will then be published
separately on the website and eventually mentioned at other conferences.

So, if you think you did something interesting with PostSharp, please
get back to me, I really need your feedback!

Thank you,

Gael

Hi Gael,

nice to hear from you and to see a very professional and fresh web site!

Possible you may find my applications of postsharp interestingly; i did not work with it for several weeks. But in the last days i switched to a new postsharp version and moved my plugins to our major project branch.

As i told you weeks ago i wrote two PostSharp plugins for detecting not disposed objects and for tracking down memory leaks due to missing removal of event handlers (in our windows forms application). Thanks to PostSharp these plugins help us to locate and fix these issues quite easily.
Under the hood i’m using an additional plugin for tracing encapsulating log4net.

If you are interested in more details, simply contact me.

Regards, Walter

Hello Gaƫl,

I react a bit late to this post, but just to give you some visibility, we are using PostSharp for our testing.
We are in TDD and using PostSharp for pre and post processing.
It also allows us to ignore some tests based on analysts criteria and project evolution plan.

I was achieving the same thing using ContextBoundObject previously (pre / post processing only) but PostSharp allowed us to go further.

If you are interested to know more about this, feel free to contact me, see my LinkedIn Account :

Pierre-Emmanuel

C’est interessant, mais un peu tard effectivement. L’article est deja rendu.

Si vous avez l’occasion de blogger sur cela, j’en ferais volontiers echo.

Gael
